Printing in India

I had the pleasure of visiting India recently to oversee our printing. I spent most of my time just outside of Delhi, where we have our shawls printed, and then went to Jaipur. Jaipur is the center for block printing in India, and where we are printing our bedding. It is a very different process from screen printing as the blocks are carved by hand and pressed into the cloth on large, padded tables. The print is naturally uneven and the pigment irregular, which gives it a beautiful, organic look.

I also took an elephant ride up to the Amber Fort and visited the Lotus Temple. It was an amazing trip!

Fine Art Prints
